Africa Health Australia facilitated an online forum for the African Australian community on 24 March, 2021.

The Forum offered an opportunity for health and community services professionals, faith leaders, academics, doctors and practitioners to discuss the issues around COVID-19 vaccinations.

Dr. Jan Fizzell from NSW Health joined over 30 African community, faith and health leaders from 14 countries. Dr. Fizzell and Joseph La Posta, CEO Multicultural NSW took questions from participants.

Discussion topics covered the barriers, perceptions and issues African-Australians face around COVID-19 vaccination safety and roll-out. The NSW Government has released a number of COVID related messages.
