Mission and Vision
Africa Health Australia (AHA) aims to empower Africans in Australia and vulnerable rural communities in Africa to take control of their preventive health care, related health services and well-being.
AHA works to foster deep engagement for African communities about health care through research, facilitation, training and advocacy. AHA is committed to promoting greater awareness about medical health concerns affecting African communities.
At AHA, we believe that a healthy society is an empowered community. We emphasise building capacity, partnerships and community empowerment for improved health outcomes.
AHA was founded in 2017, and is a not-for-profit and non-political organisation, with an office in Liverpool NSW, Australia.
Our Objectives
- Building capacities of African communities and leaders, in partnership with local agencies, organisations and health professionals
- Supporting preventive health and disease prevention programs for African communities in Australia
- Delivering life-changing health outcomes for aged, frail and sick people through a variety of interventions in vulnerable communities
- Harnessing Australian expertise and innovations to improve the provision of health care in Africa
